A new extension of Dubai Outlet Mall, set to open to the public in the fourth quarter of this year, will bring its total area to 3.8 million square feet – making it the world’s largest outlet mall.
At the moment, Sawgrass Mills in Florida is considered to be the largest outlet mall in the world with a total floor area of 2.37 million square feet.
Located on Al Ain Road (Route 66), just 20 minutes from Downtown Dubai, and close to both Mohammed Bin Zayed and Dubai Bypass Roads, the Dubai Outlet Mall is accessible from all emirates and features a comprehensive retail mix offering great value from high-end brands to streetwear.
While the extension is wrapping up its leasing phase and gearing up for its upcoming opening, a huge roster of international brands is expected to be a part of the expanded mall.
“We are excited to see our list of partnering brands grow with us as we welcome New Balance and Aigner and all of the new brands that have joined us as we realise the vision of re-imagining the world of shopping and retail. I’ll be very excited to announce in due course all of the brands that have signed up for the expansion,” said Mohammed Naser Khammas, chief executive of Al Ahli Group.

Some of the other brands which have taken up space in the mall are Rivoli Group, Gallery One, Mumuso, Zippy Kids, OVS Kids, Simple Kitchen, Dwell, Supercare, Optivision, Optics for Less, Via Milano, Lens Kart, Intimate Collection, Mario Barutti and Tiyabi Taif Al Emarat.
Some of these stores have opened satellite locations in the mall and are currently welcoming shoppers.
The expansion is aimed at enhancing the mall’s status as a shopping destination, as well as a place for new entertainment features and concepts for its visitors. It will soon include a cinema, a megamarket, and a community space, according to a statement.
Dubai Outlet Mall became the first value shopping concept mall in the MENA region when it opened in 2007. It has been home to over 1,300 brands with over 240 stores.
