The Middle East’s leading digital e-commerce platform, noon.com, has opened a 45,000m2 Customer Fulfillment Centre – its largest warehouse space in Riyadh – as part of its ongoing expansion of the logistics and fulfillment network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The new Customer Fulfillment Center will enable the rapid delivery of products to millions of customers throughout Saudi Arabia.
Noon’s logistics and fulfillment network in the Kingdom has grown to more than 270,000m2, including Customer Fulfillment Centres, last-mile hubs, and gateway hubs.
Commenting on the opening of the Customer Fulfillment Centre, the general manager of noon KSA, Ahmed Gadouri, said: “noon is committed to enabling the development of systems that contribute to maximizing economic impact and investment across the Kingdom, while also creating increased employment opportunities in our local communities.
“Our in-house logistics and fulfillment network is critical in driving speed and efficiency to support an ever-improving customer experience.”
Noon.com creates opportunities for local talent
The expansion demonstrates noon’s commitment to strengthening the local economy by creating new job opportunities, as well as achieving the Vision 2030 goals of digital transformation by developing a global-standard digital infrastructure and providing advanced services to its vendor partners to ensure easy and seamless delivery.
The firm continues to develop its delivery operations and services across the Middle East, creating possibilities for local talent to thrive.
In 2021, the founder of e-commerce venture Noon, Mohamed Alabbar, revealed ambitions to invest a further $2bn in the digital marketplace over the next three years in order to reach a goal of delivery to customers within 15-20 minutes.
Originally launched in Riyadh, the platform was brought to life by Alabbar four years ago in a joint venture with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and a group of prominent Gulf investors, with an initial capital outlay of $1bn.
