The UAE is set to announce petrol prices for March.

UPDATE: March 2023 petrol prices revealed

Prices had already seen decreases in both January and February. Typically, petrol prices fall in line with the global oil price – with lower oil prices resulting in lower petrol prices. In February, oil prices continued to fall, suggesting that the price of petrol will also fall.

The official price will be announced as February ends.

Petrol prices in the UAE

Prices were frozen by the Fuel Price Committee (FPC) in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The controls were removed in March 2021 to reflect rising global oil prices.

Petrol prices in the UAE are set by the authorities and generally follow the movement of the global price of oil.

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), a group of the world’s top oil producers, has continued to stick with a plan to cut production, with recent reports suggesting no change of strategy is likely.
