UAE telco Du has said it will compensate customers over the prolonged outage on Sunday.
Customers across the UAE were left without mobile phone connections for more than six hours on Sunday, with no access to phone calls or text messaging services.
The network coverage was finally restored in the late afternoon, with customers asked to restart phones in order to connect to the network.
In a statement, Du said it was currently looking at ways to compensate customers who were affected by the network outage.
“We are currently looking into the best possible ways to compensate our customers who were affected by the mobile services degradation,” Du said.
All our mobile services are now back to normal. Please restart your phone to enjoy our network. Thank you for your patience.
