Emirates Hotels and Resorts is implementing a multi-property management system (PMS) from German firm Protel Hotelsoftware across its operations.

The system, complete with online booking capability, will go live by the end of this month to support the organisation’s launch of Emirates Marina Hotel and Residence in September.

Once fully integrated, Emirates Hotels and Resorts, the luxury hospitality division of Emirates, will roll out the system to all its hotel operations, including the Emirates Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, Emirates Green Lakes Serviced Apartments and the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa.

“We were impressed with the flexibility provided by Protel Hotelsoftware, which accommodates both the highly individualised nature of small, super-luxury resort properties such as our Al Maha and Wolgan Valley resorts, as well as those properties with larger room inventories such as Emirates Marina and the Emirates Green Lakes,” said Tony Williams, vice president of resorts and projects at Emirates Hotels and Resorts.

Protel said its PMS system would enhance co-ordination between hotels and would optimise company-wide information, assisting in relationship management and integrating data across its online property portfolio.

Manfred Osthues, managing director of Protel, added: “We believe that Emirates will see an excellent return on their investments, and we are pleased with the trust that has been placed in Protel.”
