UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is expected to address the people of the UAE virtually, through an in-flight event at the International Space Station. The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:50 AM (US Eastern Standard Time) which is around 4:50 PM in the UAE.
The NASA Live event will be available for audiences through a live stream.
The Crew-6 officially took off for a 6-month space mission at the International Space Station (ISS), on March 2. Part of the crew is Emirati astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi, creating a historic moment for the UAE.
A 6-month mission means that the UAE astronaut will be in space during the holy month of Ramadan, Al Neyadi earlier said: “It is yet to be announced or shown, but definitely we have a lot of stuff going on. I want to share some Emirati food on board. I love dates. I’m going to take dates, and hopefully I’m going to share this with everybody, especially in Ramadan.
