US-based AI venture Nala Robotics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Excellence Company to bring robotics services into the Saudi market.
Under the MoU, the US company will provide robotics equipment and software necessary to operate them with artificial intelligence to help Saudi food companies achieve more efficiency and speed in production and higher levels of quality.
Nala Robotics will also explore the possibility of establishing a training and development center for artificial intelligence and machine learning products in the Kingdom to serve the Saudi and Arabian food markets.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Global AI Summit in Riyadh, which concluded on Thursday.
Omar Mian, head of AI at Saudi Excellence Company, said the partnership will help it to serve international and new customers in the country.
“Our company is committed to helping the Saudi food sector achieve the goal of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 of adopting the latest AI technologies, given the importance of the Kingdom’s location as a center for global trade connecting Asia, Europe, and Africa,” Mian said.
