Abu Dhabi has opened three new roads and is urging motorists to drive carefully.
The road openings were announced by the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in a post on social media.
The three roads will connect Al Mina, Al Reef and Al Falah and improve traffic and cross-city transport in Abu Dhabi.
New Abu Dhabi roads
The first of the three roads opened in Thursday, March 15. The signalised intersection in Al Reef connects Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road to Al Falah via Kouwthat Street. It will also allow motorists to travel to Yas Island via Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road.
Also in Al Falar, a new road will open on Saturday, March 18 at midnight. It will connect Al Khalidiyah Street to Al Falah Drive and Al Khayr Street beyond Al Falah Central Mall.
The third of the trio of new roads will open on Monday, March 20. As with the other orads it will be available to traffic after midnight as the ITC staggers the openings.
Located in Abu Dhabi Island the new road will join Al Mina Street to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road in the direction of Saadiyat Island.
The road will be named Shinaf Street.
