flydubai aborts Beirut flight due to engine problem

Dubai-based low cost carrier says flight FZ157 returned to Dubai Int’l on Tuesday due to performance with one of its engines

A flydubai aircraft on route to Beirut returned to Dubai on Tuesday due to a problem with one of the its engines.

An airline spokesperson told Arabian Business that flydubai decided flight FZ157 should return to Dubai due to the performance of one of the engines and the aircraft landed safely at Dubai International Airport.

Passengers were provided refreshments in the terminal and were accommodated on the next available flight, the statement said.

Flight FZ157 departs daily to Beirut at 8am and lands at 11.10am local time.

The airline did not give any further details about what caused the engine problem.

Flydubai operates three flights a day to Beirut from Dubai International, according to its website.
