UAE-based Royal Jet, a global luxury flight services company, has announced an expansion of its fleet of executive jets by adding a fifth Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) making it the leading BBJ operator worldwide.

The deal, involving multimillion dollars was concluded in partnership with First Gulf Bank (FGB), the financer of the purchase.

This is Royal Jet’s second deal with the banking institution. The buy was a reaction to the increasing demand for such services, according to Royal Jet’s CEO Shane O’Hare.

“Each of our BBJs is typically flying around 1300 hours each year. They are based all over the world, not limiting themselves purely to local markets.

They can be found in Africa, China, India, North America and Europe and are a highly popular and cost-effective choice for businesses not wishing to be tied down by restricted flight times offered by commercial airline companies,” said O’Hare.

Royal Jet has grown from a fleet of eight to 12 fixed wing aircraft and a VIP helicopter after the business has proven prosperous in the UAE.
