Budget hotel brand easyHotel will open its first property outside Europe in Dubai’s Jebel Ali, on August 1, the firm has announced. The company in a statement said it is now taking reservations for the hotel located inside the Jebel Ali Freezone Authority Zone (JAFZA).

The price for a double room in the 216-bedroom hotel starts at AED99 per night, the statement said.

“As most people are aware, Dubai is well known for being a luxury destination, but clearly not everyone can afford the price tags that luxury demands. We believe there is a real gap in the hotel market in Dubai to bring true budget pricing to this global destination,” said Calum Russell, easyHotel.com commercial director.

The low-cost hotel chain, part of the easyGroup of companies founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou, is based on the premise that the earlier a customer books the cheaper the price.

Services such as housekeeping, luggage storage, early check in, late check out, vended snacks and drinks and wi-fi internet access will be available but at an extra cost.
