The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. has unveiled its totally redesigned web site

to include 15,000 pages of new information, complete with streamlined navigation tools and interactive design features.
“With more than 16 million unique visits to our website in 2006, we wanted to offer our customers around the world the most user-friendly and innovative technology available on the Internet,” explained Bruce Himelstein, the company’s senior vice president, sales and marketing.
Special features include more than 1000 images showcasing the 61 Ritz-Carlton Hotels worldwide, as well as the 35 new properties set to open, in destinations from Dublin to Dallas. Detailed photos of hotel facilities, from guestrooms to meeting rooms will be available to view for consumers, travel agents and meeting planners.
Although the revamp was designed to primarily benefit of the consumer, it is hoped the site’s new features will prove useful selling tools, said Hani Wassim, regional director of Marketing Communications, Middle East, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C.
The trade was already “supported supported by many other services” like a toll free number/call centre for direct bookings; collateral for more destination information; and a tailor made approach to individual agency requests he said.
The new website will allow clients access tohotel information from their cell phones, Blackberry devices and other PDAs will, for the first time, be able to access a Ritz-Carlton mobile-specific web site.
“For the wired road warrior, this new addition to our website means extra convenience,” said Himelstein.
Other features include a destination information section with links to weather, local time and temperature, cultural attractions, currency tables, public holidays, visa requirements and modes of transportation.
