Dubai’s Emirates is currently hiring cabin crew, pilots, engineers, IT professionals and customer service agents at both Emirates and dnata, the airline announced on Tuesday.

The hiring announcement follows the airline’s record year of financial results, along with profit share, predicted growth, expansion of network, and the delivery of the new Airbus A350 fleet as well as the Boeing 777-X fleet, beginning 2024.

“Despite tough labour market conditions globally, the Emirates Group ended its financial year on March 31 with more than 102,000 employees, after having welcomed 17,160 people in various roles throughout the year,” the airline said in a statement.

“The Emirates Group has built an extraordinary reputation as an employer of choice and as a trailblazing force in aviation. People aspire to be part of the Group’s growth story and its ambitions as well as work and live in Dubai, one of the world’s safest, most cosmopolitan and dynamic cities. In the last financial year, we received around 2.7 million applications globally for roles across the organisation,” Emirates Group’s senior vice president human resources Oliver Grohmann said.

He added: “We are using the latest technologies, such as digital assessments, artificial intelligence and other top-notch recruitment systems to shortlist, select and respond to candidates in the most efficient and effective ways. Our focus is on recruiting the best talent, the brightest minds, and those most fit for the various roles that will support and drive our future growth and expansion.”

Emirates will organise an extensive recruitment campaign, with open days and invite-only events planned across six continents throughout the year.

This campaign aims to attract talented individuals from various fields to join their expanding workforce.

The recruitment process ensures that candidates can complete it within a day.

Successful applicants can expect to be contacted within 48 hours of their assessment, adding to the appeal of working for the prestigious airline.

For pilots, Emirates will be hosting a series of open days in the UK and Ireland, targeting Dublin, Manchester, London Gatwick, and London Stansted in August.

These events follow the successful recruitment drives held in Budapest, Madrid, and Lisbon in June. Additionally, an online information session is scheduled for July 19 at 1 PM Dubai time.

Emirates also offers various pilot roles, catering to individuals with different levels of experience.

The positions available include A380 Direct Entry Captain, Accelerated Command for experienced Airbus Captains, and First Officer for those with multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft experience and a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to fly one of the world’s most sophisticated fleets, comprising 260 wide-body aircraft, including Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, and serving 150 destinations across six continents.

Moreover, Emirates Engineering is also seeking professionals to join their team.

Open days are scheduled to take place in Australia, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, and the UK in July and August.

With a significant retrofit program underway and the addition of A350s and 777-Xs to their fleet, the airline is specifically looking for 75 Structural Technicians, as well as over 400 positions in aircraft maintenance engineering and engineering support roles.

In addition to aviation-related roles, Emirates Group is actively recruiting over 400 IT professionals for a range of positions. IT skills the Group is looking for include:

  • Cybersecurity
