Amongst an absolute media frenzy and paparazzi mayhem, the charming and demure Nancy Ajram sat with Arabian Business and shared with us her future plans of buying a home in Dubai and launching her own fragrance:
Q: What are your Favourite spots in Dubai and would you ever buy a home here?
A: Yes, I really thought of that a lot. If I ever choose to have a second home outside of the Beirut it would be in Dubai. I really love Dubai and I love coming here to visit the malls. I’m always looking around for new fashion collections and I feel like Dubai always has the latest.
Q: Any plans for releasing Nancy Ajram perfume?
A: This is a project that I really want to look into and study further. Definitely, I would love to do that one day, have my own perfume or fashion line that is specific to me. But I am constrained with my obligations and commitments so I never have the time to focus on such a project. But I definitely want to do that one day.
Q: Voted as the most beautiful mom by Rotana: Can you give us your beauty secrets?
A: Happiness, inner peace, continuous exercising and a healthy diet.
Q: First thing you think about when you wake up?
A: Every day for me is very different, each new day brings new challenges, but the first thing I think of when I wake up is my children. I prepare them to go to school and then I head to the gym right away. I exercise every day.
Q: You are currently working on your 8th studio album- when is the release date set for? Title of the 1st video to be released?
A: The first teaser already came out for the song “Aamel aela”, and the full video will be released in 10 days from now. The rest of the album will be coming out late November.
Q: One thing about Nancy that people do not know ( anything really, whatever comes to mind)
A: I’m very sensitive, over sensitive actually. I am very transparent, all my friends know that about me. Whatever I’m feeling on the inside reflects my outside appearance and people can notice that.
Q: So you just returned from Egypt on the 6th of October celebrations, how was it being there amongst all that is currently taking place?
A: The Egyptian people are dear to me and I feel hurt for them. I really like going to Egypt and especially when it is in support of the people. When I got the invitation to participate, I accepted it directly. I wanted to celebrate with the Egyptians and wish them all the best in the world.
Q: How is it being a judge on Arab Idol? Is it difficult to judge people on their talent?
A: It is difficult for sure, and I don’t like to decide a person’s destiny by a single word. The good thing, however, is that I get to share with them my personal experience. My advice to all aspiring artists would be to just believe in yourself, work hard, and do your best to reach your aim.
