Trade of non-oil goods between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia totalled approximately $2.5 billion (AED9.5bn) during the first seven months of the year, according to newly-released figures from the Statistics Centre-Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

The trade constitutes about 10 percent of Abu Dhabi’s total trade in international non-oil goods during the same time period, which amounted to $25bn (AED92.2bn).

According to SCAD statistics, the value of Abu Dhabi’s imports from Saudi Arabia reached $1.7bn (AED6.5bn) – nine percent of the emirate’s total – while exports totalled $411 million (AED1.5bn) and re-exported goods to AED1.51bn.

Saudi Arabia is ranked first among countries in the region with commercial ties with Abu Dhabi for over a decade, the report added.
