Dubai Multi Commodities Centre says growth of companies is sgnal of strong investor confidence in emirate
Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced that it registered 1,969 new companies in 2019, a signal of strong investor confidence in Dubai.
DMCC finished last year with the strongest Q4 registrations in four years, the free zone revealed in a statement.
It added that a total of 559 companies signed-up in the fourth quarter, a 20 percent increase on the same period in 2018.
This follows the registration of 202 new member companies in October, the highest figure in a single month for two years.
Overall, registrations grew 5.4 percent year-on-year, DMCC said.
It added that it continues to attract foreign direct investment to Dubai from key international markets including China and India.
