The UAE Ministry of Finance has revealed government finance statistics for Q3, 2022.
Preliminary results showed revenues at the state level of $40.3bn (AED148.1bn).
This is a marked increase on $34.4bn (AED126.3bn) during Q3 of 2021.
Revenues from social contributions increased by 10 percent compared to the same period last year – from $926m (AED3.4bn) during Q3 of 2021 to $1bn (AED3.8bn) during Q3 of 2022.
UAE state expenditure
In terms of expenditures, the results showed an increase in expenditures at the state level from $25bn (AED91.8bn) during Q3 of 2021 to $26.3bn (AED96.5bn) during Q3 of 2022.
This represents an increase of 5 per cent year on year.
Current expenditures consist of workers’ wages, use of goods and services, consumption of fixed capital, paid interest, subsidies, grants, social benefits, and other transfers.
Current expenditures increased by 7 percent during Q3 of 2022, to reach $25.3bn (AED93bn) in Q3 of 2022, compared to $23.8bn (AED87.3bn) in Q3 of 2021.
The UAE Ministry of Finance results are in line with an open data policy and based on the standards of the Government Finance Statistics Manual issued by the International Monetary Fund.
Earlier this week Dubai reported its GDP expanded 4.6% year-on-year and reached $83.7bn (AED307.5bn) during the first nine months of the year when compared to the same period last year.
