Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan will kick off his 2011 world
tour with a one-night show in Oman in March, event organisers have confirmed.
The concert will mark Khan’s first appearance in Oman for
eight years, and comes after the Bollywood idol was forced to cancel a February
17 show due to filming commitments.
Event organisers are expecting more than 20 thousands fans
to attend the concert, said Roar Entertainment, one of the companies behind the
show.
“We are expecting an audience of 20 to 30 thousand for the
show… Since the show gains importance we are also in touch with some airline
operators to bring Shah Rukh fans from other GCC countries,” said Rajesh Raman
of Roar Entertainment.
The concert will mark the first leg of Khan’s Temptation
Reloaded World Tour 2011.
The event is part of Oman’s aim to bolster its tourism
revenues by attracting twelve million Indian visitors by 2020.
