Dubai Mall has been named the best shopping experience at this year’s Grazia Style Awards on Wednesday night.

Readers of the weekly fashion magazine, published by ITP the owners of Arabian Business, voted for the Emaar-built mega mall over any other shopping centre in the emirate.

Mall of the Emirates came in second place.

More than 450 fashion industry guests attended the awards, now in their fourth year, held at The Address Dubai Marina.

The winners were chosen by readers who cast more than 7,000 votes online over the past two months.

Spanish retailer Zara was named the best place to spend AED500, while Diesel was voted best shop to spend AED1,500.

UK stores Debenhams and Marks & Spencer battled it out for first and second place respectively in the best department store category.

The best international designer was won by Dolce & Gabbana, with second place taken by the late Alexander McQueen. The region’s best designer was named as Cest Moi, followed by Ayesha Depala.
