Mobile accessories manufacturer Jabra has unveiled the latest version of its popular bluetooth headset, the Jabra BT500v, in the Middle East.
With an extended talk time of up to 12 hours and standby time of up to 300 hours, Jabra BT500v is also one of the thinnest BTE headsets available on the market and weighs just 19 grams.
It features the latest technology including a vibrating alert function that silently informs users of an incoming call.
A one-touch pairing button ensures simple connectivity, while multi-coloured LEDs light up to indicate connection and battery charging status. A mute function also allows users to temporarily silence the microphone.
The BT500v features a black metallic finish and a chrome microphone boom arm, which curves from behind the user’s ear and along the jaw line.
Each headset comes supplied with a range of Jabra MiniGel earpiece plugs that are designed to channel sound directly into the ear for superior clarity and reception.
“The Jabra BT500v not only looks good, but also has all the features you would expect in a high performance headset,” said Ahmed Elkalliny, regional sales and marketing manager for Jabra Middle East and Africa.
“We’ve continued to develop and improve our behind-the-ear headset design and have incorporated both the technology and performance of earlier versions into the new Jabra BT500v. The end result is a lightweight headset that’s built for comfort and features great usability,” he added.
The BT500v supports Bluetooth 1.2- and 1.1-enabled devices including headset and handsfree profiles. The headset can be paired with up to eight devices, such as a mobile phone, smart phone or PC allowing users to easily switch between devices.
Users are also provided with the option of charging the headset using an AC adapter or directly from a PC via USB.
Jabra products are available from more than 80,000 major retailers worldwide, including key national GSM operators, consumer electronic chains and mobile phone retail specialists.
