Following the successful introduction of its digital mobile broadcasting (DMB)-enhanced mobile handsets, LG has debuted the world’s first integrated-memory DMB-capable digital audio player.
The compact FM35 is just 52mm wide, 92mm long and is14mm thick. It is the latest addition to LG’s DMB line-up, which includes mobile handsets, notebook PCs and PDAs.
“Our strategy to lead the mobile broadcasting device market is tied to continually updating and expanding our DMB product line,” said C. H. Lee, president of LG Electronics Gulf FZE.
“The FM35 is the slimmest and most compact DMB device available. It has 2GB of integrated memory, enabling users to store all of their favourite songs. LG offers many options in its DMB product line, providing consumers the opportunity to choose mobile TVs that best fit their lifestyle.”
The FM35 features a 2.4-inch LCD display with a viewing aspect ratio of 16:9. A 360-degree rotating DMB antenna ensures high-quality reception and 2GB of integrated flash memory that can store up to 500 music files.
The device supports audio file formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, AVI and ASF, and allows users to multitask, listen to music, and view digital images concurrently.
Other features include a lithiumion polymer battery that can be recharged via a USB port or mobile phone connection. Users can watch up to four hours of DMB broadcasts or listen to 55 hours of music between charges.
