Oman golfers will be able to enjoy the fun of their much-loved Muscat Hills Golf Club when it was rebranded and relaunched after extensive upgradation and renovation as La Vie.

Oris, a subsidiary of Ominvest officially unveiled La Vie, which translates to ‘The Life’ in French.

The golf course was previously opened in 2009 as Muscat Hills. It is the first fully-grassed 18-hole golf course in the Sultanate of Oman. It was closed for redevelopment in 2020.

As the first phase of the real estate project, the golf club inside Muscat Hills has been reopened as La Vie Club. The 18-hole, desert-style golf course will be managed by Troon Golf.

The club has seen significant investment from Oris that includes buying a new fleet of Club Car golf carts and course machinery, alongside the brand-new clubhouse which is due to open soon.

It allows players to track the distance, height and ball speed of their shots amongst other things, giving them very accurate stats on each of their shots and a feeling of practicing like professional golfers. It also has different modes so the players can have various competitions like longest drive and nearest to the pin, thus making their practice more competitive and fun.

The club has also created a community calendar, which includes FootGolf and cycling around the course.

“Towards the end of this year, golfers will experience superior guest service, the finest playing surfaces and outstanding amenities. The new clubhouse and a summer of course maintenance practices with the new machinery will enhance La Vie Club and make it a focal point for the community.”

The hotel will be managed by global hospitality giant – Tivoli, a part of Minor brand – which is making its debut in the local market. The hotel will have a rooftop swimming pool that is 70 meters long, providing stunning views of the golf course. It will also feature a private health club and spa operated by Anantara.

Additionally, Tivoli will manage 100 fully-serviced apartments.
