Saudi authorities have issued a warning over donations to unauthorised charities during Ramadan.

The Presidency of State Security’s official spokesperson issued a reminder regarding charitable donations during Ramadan.

The message emphasised directing all donations within the Kingdom to authorised channels and entities.

This comes in light of the importance of ensuring the safety of charitable endeavours and the expansion of their funding sources, and out of concern over the exploitation by certain entities or individuals during the holy month of Ramadan to promote calls and disseminate messages with the aim of obtaining donations and funds from citizens and residents.

The spokesperson also indicated that for those wishing to donate from abroad, the only authorised entity for delivering donations outside the Kingdom is the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

It should be noted that violating these instructions subjects the donor to accountability in accordance with the regulations in the Kingdom.
