UAE announces Eid Al Fitr holiday 2023: Dates revealed

Employees will get a four-day weekend

UAE has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr 2023 holiday for the government sector. Public sector employees will get a four-day weekend, from Thursday, April 20 until Sunday, April 23. Employees will resume work on Monday, April 24.

According to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the holidays are marked on Ramadan 29, Thursday, April 20 until Shawwal 3, Sunday April 23.

Earlier this week, UAE announced early salaries for government employees ahead of Eid Al Fitr 2023. The directive comes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Federal employees will receive salaries starting April 17.

Last week, it was reported that the Oman Ministry of Labour (MOL) has issued a circular to all private sector employers in Oman, instructing them to pay their employees’ wages no later than April 18, 2023, to mark the Eid ul-Fitr celebrations.
