UAE residents can look forward to up to five public holidays for the rest of 2023.
This week, UAE announced a public holiday for residents on account of the Islamic New Year. Employees of both the private and public sectors are set to get a day off on July 21. Falling on a Friday, this means that residents will see a three-day weekend.
Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday in 2023, will be on September 29, marking another public holiday.
The last of the official holidays in 2023 will fall in December with the UAE Commemoration Day, and National Day celebrations falling on December 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
According to a post shared by the government, here are the holidays lined up for the rest of the year:
- Hijri New Year: July 21
- Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday: September 29
- National Day: December 2-3
