The Saudi Ministry of Investment has signed an initial agreement with the French transport sector multinational Alstom Company for, among other things, exploring investment opportunities in the transport sector in the country.
The agreement also envisages discussions on establishing Alstom’s regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia, SPA reported.
The MoU aims to explore the future of sustainable transport in the Kingdom and identify investment opportunities in the public transport sector related to railway infrastructure.
The agreement would also explore developing sustainable transport technologies and reducing carbon emissions, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
