An Indian jeweller is set to launch a new store in Dubai with the unveiling of gold earrings weighing 1kg.
GRT Jewellers will today unveil the special earrings to commemorate the launch of its first Dubai store in Karama.
The earrings will be one of three spectacular and rare creations on display in the store, which will be officially opened with the help of South Indian diva, Nayantara.
GRT Jewellers said the three pieces interpret different aspects of the Indian heritage to create unique and eye-catching pieces in finishes of gold and precious stones, which were designed in the traditional ‘Jhumka’ style.
G.R. ‘Anand’ Ananthapadmanabhan, managing director of GRT Jewellers, told Gulf News: “The decision to create the 1kg earrings stems out of wanting to introduce new angles to traditional jewellery exhibition and we hope that our customers share our enthusiasm in creating something spectacular and different. Even though we are new in the market [in Dubai], we have received an overwhelming response and we see this as an opportunity to thank our patrons.”
Based in South India, GRT Jewellers was established in 1964 and now has a chain of stores across the three major cities in South India – Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
