Emiratis spend an average of AED20,215 ($5,503) using personal shopping services at London’s Heathrow Airport.
The National reports that over half of the 55,600 people who used Heathrow’s personal shoppers service last year were UAE nationals (25,555), with an average spend of AED7,015.
Dana Jaber, a style expert for Heathrow’s Personal Shopping service told the National that each UAE shopper spends over two hours in their shopping experience.
“On average, each customer from the UAE visits us twice a year, spending in excess of two hours in a style consultation within our private suites,” she said
“Our Emirati customers are particularly interested in the likes of Burberry, Smythson, Paul Smith and Jo Malone.”
Emirates were well ahead of their Gulf neighbours, with Qataris spending an average of AED7,134 and Saudis spending AED6,879.
