Xerox has added multifunction muscle to its network printing line with the introduction of what it claims is its fastest-ever desktop multifunction system.
The Xerox WorkCentre 4150 offers mono printing, copying, scanning and faxing capabilities. The firm also announced three new Phaser printers.
Offering print speeds of up to 45 pages per minute (ppm), the WorkCentre 4150 is the first Xerox A4 multifunction product to be sold through channel partners serving a broad base of customers, as part of Xerox’s ongoing aim to move 100% of its Office business to an indirect channel sales structure.
The firm has also ramped up its portfolio of single-function mono and colour printers in the region. The Phaser 6110, 3125 and 3428 series printers have been designed to enhance productivity at affordable prices.
“Small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) continue to be one of the fastest-growing segments in the market today,” said Keith Kmetz, program director of Hardcopy Peripherals Solutions and Services at research house IDC.
“With its continued product additions and focus on moving these products through channels targeted to reach the SMB market, Xerox is positioned to capture growth from new and existing customers,” he noted.
The WorkCentre 4150 mono multifunction printer is available in flexible configurations, from a basic copy-only version to an advanced version that prints, copies, scans and faxes.
It is the only product in its class to offer automatic two-sided printing on all configurations, Xerox claimed.
The firm’s Phaser 6110 colour laser printer prints up to 4ppm in colour and 17ppm on letter-sized paper (16ppm on A4 paper) in mono, at a print resolution of 2400x600dpi. The 6110 comes in two versions — one direct-connect printer and a network-ready printer.
The Phaser 3428 mono laser printer is available in two models: the Phaser 3428D and Phaser 3428DN. Both feature automatic two-sided printing.
The Xerox Phaser 3125 black-and-white laser printer comes in two models — the 3125 and the 3125N. The Phaser 3125N version has network functionality and is, Xerox claims, one of the lowest-priced network printers on the market. Both models come with 32Mbytes of memory and a 400 MHz processor.
