Dubai’s Emirates airline is set to be become an airline partner with Easyjet that will allow passengers to Gatwick airport to connect to flights across the UK-based carrier’s European network.
Passengers traveling on one of Emirates’ three daily services from Dubai to Gatwick will be able to connect on Easyjet’s flights its London hub through the low-cost carrier’s Worldwide by Easyjet partner network programme.
Similarly, Easyjet passengers will be able to fly onwards on Emirates flights, initially between London Gatwick and Dubai, but with plans to extend to more gateways and destinations.
Launched in September 2017, Worldwide by Easyjet enables customers to connect Easyjet flights through London Gatwick to long haul flights.
It is the first global airline connections service by a European low fares airline. Worldwide by Easyjet offers self-connect and sales partnerships through a digital, virtual hub simply and efficiently.
Worldwide by Easyjet is subject to a 2 hour 30 minute ‘Minimum Connection Time’, which will give customers plenty of time to transfer between flights and/or terminals. Should a passenger miss a connecting flight they will be transferred to the next available flight.
