Emirates Airline and Maldivian Airlines have officially launched an interline partnership.
The move is aimed at providing Emirates customers with easier access to 16 sought-after holiday destinations in the Maldives beyond the capital city, Malé.
Both carriers had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), solidifying their commitment to exploring opportunities for mutual cooperation.
Under this interline agreement, travellers bound for the Maldives will benefit from a seamless and convenient travel experience.
Passengers flying into Velana International Airport in the North Malé atoll can effortlessly connect to Maldivian Airlines’ services, which serve a range of domestic points within the Maldives, enabling them to access popular island getaways.
Starting September 15, Emirates customers can book travel itineraries on the official website, the Emirates mobile app, or via their preferred travel agents for flights, “for flights effective immediately,” the airline said in a statement.
“We are delighted to establish a partnership with Maldivian to expand our reach into more points in the Maldives. By partnering with the Maldivian flag carrier, we are able to offer customers smooth connections when flying to a wide choice of islands within the country via Malé,” Adnan Kazim (below), Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer said.

“We are excited to embark on this journey with Emirates, a global aviation leader. This partnership would enable us to increase the visibility of our extensive domestic network and it aligns perfectly with our objective of providing seamless connectivity to travellers,” Ibrahim Hamdhan Mohamed, General Manager – Commercial at Maldivian said.
