Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced guidelines for commuters on the public and intercity buses to ensure comfort and avoid violations.
The guidelines detail several steps:
- Ensure that the nol card is topped up before using public and intercity buses.
- Make sure you tap the nol card while entering the bus.
- Food and drinks are not permitted on buses.
- Avoid littering.
- Avoid talking to the driver and contact the call center for queries instead.
- In case of loss of belongings, contact 908.
- Priority front seating is for senior citizens, women, children and people of determination.
The authority made the announcement via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, the caption read: “Are you a #PublicBus user? Follow the mentioned guidelines while commuting via the Public and Intercity Buses to ensure your comfort and avoid violations. #YourComfortMatters #RTA.”
