Membership opens to join exclusive The Arts Club Dubai
Located on four floors in the new ICD Brookfield Place development in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), The Arts Club Dubai comprises 22,000 square feet of outdoor space, featuring a roof terrace, three restaurants including a modern European brasserie, an Italian and another with dancing and live music.

Membership has opened to join The Arts Club Dubai – the first overseas venue for the London-based iconic private members’ club.

Future members from Dubai, the GCC and throughout the Middle East and Asia can now enquire about membership options, with a select group of individuals being invited to join the club as founding members. Membership categories available are full, spouse and young, for those aged under 30.

There is also the option of adding the international membership to each category, for members of the Dubai and London clubs, giving them dual access. All new members will pay a one-off joining fee and an annual subscription.

There are also private dining rooms, lounges, bars, a nightclub and cigar bar, a library and dedicated areas for art exhibitions.

Ajaz Sheikh has been appointed chief operating officer for the new club.

Formerly the global managing director of the restaurant group Zuma, Sheikh grew up in Dubai before attending the prestigious Swiss Hotel Management School, Les Roches.

His career has seen him hold senior positions at Mandarin Oriental Hotels, The Lanesborough in London, and at Zuma, where he developed the brand over a period of ten years to be the global phenomenon it is today.

He was made global MD of Zuma and Oblix in 2016 and was responsible for overseeing the opening of more than half of the Zuma restaurants around the world.

Arjun Waney, director of The Arts Club, said: “We are delighted to have attracted Ajaz Sheikh to oversee the opening of The Arts Club Dubai. His hospitality knowledge, and experience opening iconic locations worldwide, will help us to open another world-class club during 2020.”

The Arts Club has recently opened Lanserhof at The Arts Club, the world’s most advanced urban medical gym, and is working on plans for its second overseas club, to be located in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.
