LPM Restaurant & Bar, formerly known as La Petite Maison in Dubai, located in DIFC, popular for their French-Mediterranean inspired cuisine has revealed that its beverages will now be at lower prices. This announcement is in response to the UAE’s new alcohol rules which eliminated the 30 percent tax on the purchase of alcohol.
The adjusted prices are expected to reflect starting Monday, January 23.
The restaurant’s champagne bottles, glasses of wine, wine bottles and cocktails will see a 10-15 percent reduction in prices.

“This initiative is not a 30 percent cost reduction for operators, but the removal of 30 percent tax on landing costs in Dubai. This represents an actual cost reduction of 23 percent to operators. Now, should operators decide to maintain their margins in cash value, which seems pretty logical, it would only represent a 5 percent drop on selling price. This may have been misunderstood when the announcement was made, but it is critical to explain so consumers do not have the wrong expectations,” said Nicolas Budzynski, Global Operations Director at LPM Restaurant & Bar.
“Being guests ourselves when dining-out, we would be very happy to see more accessible prices in Dubai in general, this in line with other international markets. We’ve always looked to provide the best products at the most accessible price for our guests, and this is one of the reasons LPM has been so consistent and loved for the last 12 years. This is why we decided to go for it and take quick actions. With an overall price reduction, guests will be able to go for an extra glass or bottle, and everyone will benefit from it,” he concluded.

Earlier this month, the restaurant revealed that it permanently moved to a four-day workweek.
LPM Restaurant & Bar, formerly known as La Petite Maison, says servers, cooks and other staff members will take on longer shifts on two days and have three days off per week at both of its branches in the UAE.
Overall, staff members will work slightly fewer hours per week and keep the same salary.
