The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s multi-billion dollar mega-project, NEOM will open its first physical destination in 2024 – Sindalah. This luxury island will be the first to open to the public, before other NEOM projects and is a widely important part of the entire development, set to offer visitors the first taste of futuristic NEOM.
“This will be the first physical project in NEOM that opens. It will be open to the public before other regions. Therefore, Sindalah will be a taste of what else is to come at NEOM, so it’s hugely important to the wider vision,” says Antoni Vives, Chief Urban Planning Officer.
Sindalah will cover an area of approximately 840,000 square metres and is expected to create 3,500 jobs for sectors of tourism, hospitality and leisure.
A unique factor of the island is the year-round pleasant climate, giving it the advantage to be the next-generation yachting destination.
Opening before THE LINE, Trojena and Oxagon, Sindalah will connect to all the projects within NEOM.
“In NEOM itself, people will be able to go from Sindalah to THE LINE easily – with a population of more than one million by 2030. Plus, Trojena and OXAGON will be accessible through our impressive transport network,” Vives said.
The luxury island destination will act as a main gateway to the Red Sea, offering customised nautical experiences and is expected to start welcoming guests in early 2024.
Sindalah will also be home to a yacht club, three luxury resorts, a spa, over 50 luxury brands and 86 piers.
