Saudi reports 81mn worshipers visit Prophet’s Holy Mosque from beginning of Muharram

More than 8 million people offered prayers in the honorable Rawdah and the old campus, Saudi authorities said

A total of 81 million worshipers visited the Prophet’s Holy Mosque from the beginning of Muharram, with more than 8 million people offering prayers in the honorable Rawdah and the old campus, Saudi authorities said on Thursday.

The number of visitors to greet the Messenger of Allah and his two companions reached more than 7 million visitors during the period, Dr. Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, General President for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque, said.

“The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Holy Mosque harnessed all services for worshipers and visitors and tackled all obstacles through its various departments to provide all means of comfort for them to perform their rituals with ease and comfort,” he said.
