Cirque du Soleil returns to Dubai

The circus’ brand new show, Varekai, will revolve around circus “soul, spirit, and art”

Globally
renowned circus Cirque du Soleil will return to Dubai for the fourth time
with a new show from September 16 to 24.

The
show, Varekai, will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It will revolve
around the nomadic soul, spirit, and art of the circus.

It
is pronounced ver-ay-kie, meaning “whatever” in Romani, the language spoken by
gypsies.

The
circus, which translates into “Circus of the Sun,” last performed in Dubai in
February 2013 with a show inspired by Chinese acrobatic arts.

It
is a Canadian entertainment concept and the largest theatrical producer in the
world. It was originally founded by two former street performers.
