Saudi Arabia is seeing rapid growth in the cinema, arts and entertainment sectors, according to a Ministry report.
According to the Ministry of Commerce’s business sector bulletin for Q2 2023, the number of commercial registers for promising sectors in the Kingdom, such as the cinema, arts and entertainment sectors, has grown.
The bulletin showed a growth in the film production sector by the end of Q2 2023 by 28 per cent, with more than 1,700 registers issued, compared to more than 1,300 at the end of Q2 2022.

The report also gave details on where most registers occurred in the Kingdom.
It showed registers in these locations:
- Riyadh, 953 registers
- Makkah, 501 registers
- Eastern region, 155 registers
- Madinah, 51 registers
- Qassim, 22 registers
