Dubai Chambers has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VFS Global to expedite the international expansion of Dubai-based companies.

The agreement, announced on Tuesday, is a cornerstone of the new ‘Global Partnership Programme’ initiated by Dubai International Chamber. The programme aims to streamline the expansion processes for local businesses, as well as minimising risks and reducing costs for Dubai-based firms entering international markets.

“Our cooperation with VFS Global will enhance the competitiveness of Dubai’s private sector by facilitating smoother entry into global markets,” said Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers.

He reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to supporting the business community and solidifying Dubai’s position as a global gateway for opportunities and growth.

Under the MoU, VFS Global will leverage its extensive international network to provide crucial services to Dubai-based businesses. These services include evaluating potential partners in international markets through due diligence services, thereby reducing market entry friction and accelerating the capitalisation of commercial opportunities.

“This initiative highlights our long-standing commitment to supporting the development of Dubai as a pre-eminent global business hub,” Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global, said. He also noted VFS Global’s deep-rooted ties with the UAE, dating back to 2002 when the company launched Dubai Visa services with Emirates Airlines.

The collaboration is set to support the Global Partnership Programme across Dubai Chambers’ 31 international representative offices worldwide. This expanding network is crucial to realising the ambitions outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to position Dubai among the top three global cities.

As Dubai continues to cement its status as an international business hub, this partnership between Dubai Chambers and VFS Global marks a significant milestone in facilitating the global expansion of local businesses and attracting foreign investment to the emirate.
