The UAE has appointed a new Vice-President.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has issued resolutions, with the approval of the United Arab Emirates Federal Supreme Council, to appoint Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of Presidential Court, as UAE Vice President.
He will work alongside His Highness Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
New UAE Vice President
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was born in Abu Dhabi in 1970.
After receiving his high school diploma through the Abu Dhabi school system, he continued his studies in the United States, where, in 1993, he was awarded his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
He is perhaps best known internationally as the owner of Manchester City football club.
Sheikh Mansour holds a number of key local and federal posts within the United Arab Emirates.
In July 2022, Sheikh Mansour was named Minister of the Presidential Court, following the Federal Decree issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
Also on Wednesday evening the UAE appointed a new Crown Prince, reports state news agency WAM.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued an Emiri decree appointing Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Khaled is the eldest son of President Sheikh Mohamed.
