Swedish paper products firm SCA said on Tuesday it was investing $18.5 million in forming a joint venture in the Middle East with the Jordan-based Nuqul conglomerate.
SCA said in a statement the venture would sell feminine hygiene products in 18 countries and provide the group with an opportunity to market its product range across the region.
“Nuqul’s Feminine Care business – with annual sales of approximately $15 million – will form the base of the joint venture company,” the firm said.
“SCA will bring to the joint venture its own feminine product range, world-leading technology and marketing expertise.”
