More than 1.3 million passengers travelled through air, sea and land ports in Dubai during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, according to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA).
A total number of 1.175 million passengers passed through Dubai airports, while 113,000 passengers passed through the land port, and the number of passengers passing through the seaport reached 14,460.
June 8 set the highest number of travelers passing through Hatta port, with 16,803 passengers while 352,306 passengers used the 122 smart gates at the Dubai airports during the same period.
Major General Mohammed Al Marri, director general of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai said: “The continuous efficiency of GDRFA Dubai’s employees has resulted in a record achievement in the number of departing passengers coming through Dubai airports.
“We are constantly on the alert to deal with the large number of visitors to the country and provide outstanding services to facilitate the movement of passengers to achieve satisfaction and happiness to them.”
