Storage solutions provider Network Appliance (NetApp) will be pushing its data centre systems for large enterprises at this year’s Gitex.
“A particular focus will be on our improved data centre offerings, aimed at enterprises that have vast data requirements and demanding SLAs,” explains Thomas Ehrlich, area director for North East EMEA at NetApp.
Meanwhile Sun Microsystems will be heralding the ‘Participation Age’ at Gitex as it works with customers to explore new ways of leveraging technology to create new opportunities in the market. Sun also plans to introduce powerful new product lines at Gitex and showcase groundbreaking customer successes.
“Gitex has traditionally been a time for us to meet with customers from around the region to discuss roadmaps, existing projects and re-establish relationships,” says Chris Cornelius, managing director, Sun Microsystems Middle East.
“With the global launch of the Participation Age theme we will be developing our relationships with our existing customer base to explore new ways of working together in the future to build new communities — challenging ourselves to jointly rethink traditional business models.
“The potential for collaborative thinking can open up opportunities for customers and vendors and we hope to use Gitex as a platform for discussing this concept with our customers.”
With the recent expansion of the Sun Fire server and Sun Ultra workstation ranges, Sun Microsystems has got an industry-leading portfolio, which will be available for discussion and demonstration at the show.
