A massive fire was reported in the early hours of Monday morning at the 8 Boulevard Walk Tower in Downtown Dubai.

Located near the Burj Khalifa, the 35-storey tower was ablaze and was extinguished just before 4am. The building seems to have sustained extensive fire damage on the façade panning through all floors.

Following the fire questions were raised about the safety and well-being of the residents as well as, the after effects of the fire.

“No injuries or casualties occurred due to the fire, all the residents are safe and hopeful to return to their homes as soon as possible,” a source told Arabian Business.

On Monday, after the fire, a resident of the 8 Boulevard Walk Tower reached out to Arabian Business saying “The whole experience was obviously very scary but to be fair to Emaar, they couldn’t have looked after us better. They have given us incredibly nice rooms, we are being kept informed constantly on the situation with the tower and we have been told that some of us may even be able to go back as early as tomorrow.”

The project was developed by Emaar in 2008, conditions of the building and restoration details are yet to be revealed.
