Recently, Arabian Business reported that both alcohol retailers MMI and CityDrinks have launched a mobile delivery app that allows customers to order alcoholic beverages to their destination of choice in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, respectively.

However, the customer does need proof of verification before placing an order. In Dubai, customers require an alcohol licence whereas in Abu Dhabi, customers require an Emirates ID.

That said, here is how you can apply for an alcohol licence in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Emirates cancels Dubai flights to India and Europe

Emirates has cancelled flights to destinations in India and Europe as they deal with extreme weather conditions.

Flights to and from Munich in Germany were called off due to heavy snowfall in parts of Europe.

Meanwhile, the Dubai-based carrier also scrapped flights to Chennai in India due to heavy rain in the region.

Dubai announces $681m transport investments; air taxis, garden bridge over creek and smart street lights planned

Dubai will see public and private sectors collaborate on AED2.5bn ($681m) in ambitious transport investment projects.

Plans include the launch of air taxis in the city, a sky garden bridge over the Dubai Creek and smart street lighting and will be introduced between 2024 and 2026.

There will also be a major real estate and commercial development near the Union Station of the Dubai Metro.

Saudi Arabia lures businesses with 30-year tax cut offer

Saudi Arabia is offering multinational companies major tax incentives if they set up regional headquarters in the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA), in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced a 30-year tax incentive package for The Regional Headquarters (RHQ) Program.

The scheme aims to streamline the process for multinational companies (MNCs) to establish regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia./b
