The 2024 edition of the Arabian Business Leadership Summit will gather notable figures from the business world in the region.
Scheduled to occur on May 22 at the Armani Hotel in Downtown Dubai, the event will feature engaging discussions, conversational sessions, and speeches.
Ahead of the summit, Raki Phillips, the CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) revealed to Arabian Business the secrets to being a good leader.
“I believe that a good leader is someone who not only sets a clear vision and strategy but also empowers their team to achieve great things. Leadership is about inspiring others, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation to overcome challenges and seize opportunities.”
Phillips revealed that RAKTDA has achieved “remarkable success” by working towards a common goal and by being open to new ideas and partnerships.
“Our focus on sustainable growth, connectivity, and enhancing the overall visitor experience has been key to our achievements,” he said.
Phillips also explained that a good leader must carry the qualities of vision, empathy, resilience, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
“It is important to lead by example, communicate effectively, and create a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone feels motivated and valued,” he said.
When asked what he looks forward to at the summit this year, Phillips explained that this year’s event is “a great opportunity” to actively connect with influential figures in various industries and actively seek out innovative concepts that will significantly impact the future of business within our locality.
“The summit promises insightful discussions on innovative business models and strategies to address global competition that will help us gain valuable insights and actionable strategies that will help inspire our approach to sustainable growth and development. The panel discussions and fireside chats will be particularly enriching, offering a platform to exchange ideas and collaborate with fellow visionaries,” he said.
