Coronavirus: Oman reports 93 new cases of Covid-19, total stands at 1,998

A total of ten patients have died from the Covid-19 virus in Oman, while 333 people have recovered to date.

Oman recorded 93 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the total number of infections in the Sultanate to 1,998.

According to a report on the Oman News Agency (ONA), 33 of the new cases involved Omani nationals, and 60 were expats.

A total of ten patients have died from the Covid-19 virus, while 333 people have recovered to date.

The Supreme Committee and Ministry of Health reiterated calls for the public to adhere to strict social distancing instructions, while also reminding people to keep washing hands with water and soap, as well as avoiding touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes.

There are almost three million confirmed cases of coronavirus throughout the world and currently just over 200,000 deaths reported.
