Mena Telecom has launched a new USB WiMAX device that allows for reliable and high-speed wireless broadband internet access for its customers in Bahrain.
The thumb-drive-sized device is preconfigured to connect to Mena Telecom’s WiMAX network as soon as it’s plugged directly into laptop computers and other USB-enabled devices. Home and business customers can enjoy speeds of up to 8 Mbps using mykey packages, which are currently only offered with data services.
Mena claims the device has been designed with ‘multiple antennae technology’ to ensure reliable connectivity. Details on pricing and application procedure can be found on the company’s website.
“Our new mykey device will let people enjoy desktop-like performance while on the go with their laptop computers by giving them wireless connectivity to menatelecom’s broadband wireless network,” commented Abdul Razak Jawahery, executive manager Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain (KFH), representing KFH as vice chairman and managing director of Mena Telecom.
