Dubai-based carrier Emirates Airline has announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Iraq (Basra and Baghdad), Iran (Tehran), and Jordan (Amman) on October 2 and 3, due to ongoing regional unrest.
Customers transiting through Dubai with final destinations in Iraq, Iran, and Jordan will not be accepted for travel until further notice.
The airline also announced additional cancellations on October 2 for several routes:
- EK 837/838: Dubai – Bahrain – Dubai
- EK 855/856: Dubai – Kuwait – Dubai
- EK 31/32: Dubai – London Heathrow – Dubai
- EK 866/867: Dubai – Muscat – Dubai
Emirates has advised impacted customers to contact their booking agents for alternative travel arrangements or reach out to the airline directly if they booked through the airline.
Passengers have been urged to check and update their contact details through the “Manage Your Booking” section on the Emirates website to receive timely updates.
Additionally, travellers departing from or arriving at Dubai International Airport are advised to check their flight status on the Emirates website for the latest information.
Last month, Emirates announced the cancellation of flights to and from Beirut until October 8. Passengers transiting from Beirut will also not be accepted for travel.
The airline continues to monitor the situation closely and remains in contact with relevant authorities for any further developments.
