Qatar Airways flight from Copenhagen ‘delayed for 37 hours’

250 passengers arrive in Doha on Wednesday night following ‘technical issue’ – report

A Qatar Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight from Copenhagen to Doha on Sunday was reportedly delayed for 37 hours.

More than 250 passengers finally arrived in Doha on Wednesday night after the lengthy delay, according to Doha News.

It said a spokesperson for the national carrier attributed to the delays to an unspecified technical issue.

In a statement to the newspaper, the spokesperson said: “Due to a technical issue, a significant delay resulted on this flight during which time passengers were offered hotel accommodation or re-accommodated on alternative flights.”

Many passengers took to social media to vent their anger at the delay. One passenger, @marisanun, tweeted on Monday: “@qatarairways Our QR164 flight from Copenhagen to Doha was canceled, we are stranded in hotel for 12 hours without updates? What’s up?!”

It is the second delay suffered by Qatar Airways passengers in the past month due to technical issues with the aircraft. Two weeks ago, a Dreamliner was forced to make an emergency landing in Hungary on its way from Oslo to Doha.
